The story

Why we built QuakeMate

QuakeMate started with a simple question: why is it so hard to know what just shook? Most earthquake apps show a list, sorted by magnitude or recency, and leave users to do the geography in their heads.

We built a map you can actually explore. Tap any coastline, mountain range, or fault line and see what is happening underneath it. Filter by magnitude, depth, distance, or source. Save a view, share it with a link.

Then we added the part most earthquake apps miss: the people. With Did You Feel It, every user becomes a sensor. Reports stream back onto the same map within seconds, so a neighbourhood can compare what it felt across a single shared event.
